Ever since my mom passed away a year ago February I have started to think about my health. My mom was over weight most of her life and she developed diabetes, sleep apnea, and high blood pressure among other health problems. She died of a heart attack. So I am now looking at myself and my own risks. I am over weight by about 40 lbs. I started exercising more and I joined weight watchers as a new years resolution. As of now (1 month later) I have lost 10 lbs.

It’s kind of ironic that I’m wearing the same shirt but this next picture shows how big my arms got over the winter. Well, it’s winter here in Alaska, the picture was taken in California.
