Tummy not feel so good

Standard

*pout* I am really sick to my stomach and I am starting to think it’s not the flu now…   It feels like it did before when I had an ulcer…. although, that time I waited too long to see the doctor.  This time I still have meds from the time before and remember the drill.  No more tomato soup or my favorite ruby red grapefruit with sea salt.  Rice, mashed potatoes, cornflakes and bananas…..oh my!  I took Protonix this morning AND Claritin and now I am REALLY  “Sick and tired” like George Carlin.

So yesterday, since I was in bed most of the day, the only creative thing I did was knit and today I think I’ll continue knitting.  It will take me a long time to finish the front of my sweater.  I’ll post a picture of how far I got later tonight.  My hands are not hurting yet so I think I’ll do pretty good.  A picture of the back of the sweater is in yesterday’s post.

I did take this picture of myself with my black hair that is not straight like my moms.  I feel a bit like Rapunsel.

  1. I hope you feel better soon. If the ulcer routine doesn’t work, then you’d better get in to the doctor. Don’t want anything happening to you. 😉

You look so cute! Apple cheeks and all that hair!! You do look like a black-haired Rapunsel–LOL!

Hope you feel lots better post haste! 🙂

  2. Thanks Rita :O) I actually started growing out my hair for locks of love but then I just couldn’t cut it. Besides, my husband likes it. I found out too that locks for love doesn’t provide wigs for children with cancer… (which was what I was doing it for) and that they sell most of the hair they receive to cover their overhead costs. I think I’d rather keep it but if there were someone with cancer that wanted it for a wig I’d cut it in a heart beat. I’d go to a pixie haircut if that’s what it took.

My sweet hubby went to the store for me tonight and bought me some stomach meds, more cornflakes and bananas (plus a bag of hershey kisses for later!) Isn’t he sweet?

      • Rita, I learned that locks of love is actually for people with alopecia. That is balding…. it could be caused by radiation treatments or for whatever reason. Sometimes someone will have an area where no hair will grow and they may have a smaller hairpiece that hids that….. and the wigs are not free. I certainly learned a lesson – find out what charities are really for before deciding to donate or participate. Of course, I never did cut my hair but imagine the people who have and find out after the fact. It takes so long to grow hair as long as they need it and it would have made me sick to think it was just being sold cheap to wig makers to cover overhead (which is what they do). Someday I will cut my hair and it will go for a wig for a child with cancer. That is important to me.
